ImageRAYi
Digital x-ray sensor
Rated among the top digital x-ray sensors available today, the DENTRIX ImageRAYi is intelligently designed for quick acquisition and ease of use. X-rays produced by the ImageRAYi provide superb diagnostic quality that rivals other systems.
Integrated Digital X-ray Sensor
As an integrated part of the Digital Dental Office (DDO) total technology solution-the Dentrix ImageRAYi is exactly what the doctor ordered. The ImageRAYi digital x-ray system acquires images quickly with lower and safer radiation exposure compared to traditional film exposure. Using USB 2.0 plug-and-play technology the ImageRAYi allows you to view, diagnose and manupulate images in seconds.
Key Benefits And Features
Easier Diagnosis - Dentrix ImageRAYi provides over 22 line pairs of resolution for superior x-ray image quality, effective diagnosis and superior patient communication.
Sharper Image Quality - An exclusive 16-bit CCD chip provides more than 65,000 shades of gray to deliver stunning x-ray image quality.
Better Service and Integration - Using DDO integration technology, you can capture direct to the patient's chart, catalog, annotate, e-mail, print, or attach to an e-claim, all supported by our acclaimed customer service.
Easier Positioning - The ImageRAYi comes in three sizes including a size 1, size 2 and larger 2BW (Bitewing) sensor for easier sensor positioning and patient comfort.
Faster Acquisition - The latest USB 2.0 technology acquires x-ray images at speeds up to 40 times faster than other sensors-saving you valuable time.
Space-Saving Connection - ImageRAYi is among the smallest CCD casing in the industry. You'll save valuable space and money with ImageRAYi's portability design, allowing you to share one sensor with many operatories.

A 16 bit Analog-to-Digital image transfer allows the ImageRAYi to discern the highest level grayscale accuracy than most other digital x-ray systems. A total of over 65,000 grayscale levels are included in the ImageRAYi to offer maximum x-ray image quality for better patient diagnosis.
Faster USB 2.0 Connectivity Quickly Acquires Images
The ImageRAYi offers USB 2.0 compatibility that supports 480Mbs during Analog-to-Digital image acquisition. Using USB 2.0 technology images are captured within seconds and displayed on a monitor for enhancements and editing.
Small CCD Controller is easily portability from operatory to operatory
A look at the controller itself reveals it is considerably smaller, very similar to the size of a computer mouse. The ImageRAYi is among the smallest CCD x-ray controllers on the market.
Durable Carbon-Based Edge Connector for Added Strength and Durability to the Sensor
The ImageRAYi is designed with a stronger sensor casing, which protects the internal parts of the sensor. The sensor is encased in a carbon-based enclosure for added protection and increased durability. The carbon-based enclosure enhances durability and reliability compared to injection-molded sensor housings.
3 Sensor Sizes for Improved Patient Comfort and Easier Positioning
The new custom-designed ImageRAYi sensors are available in multiple sizes for easier sensor positioning and improved patient comfort. The sizes of the sensors include two semi-standard sensors and a larger sized sensor that relate to a size 1, size 2 dental film, and a larger-size 2BW. Multiple Sized Sensors Meet All Your Needs. (image: Sensor sizes.psd)
Size 1 - The active area of the size 1 sensor is 20.1mm-30.1mm in a 25.1mm-39.6mm external package
Size 2 - The active area of the size 2 sensor is 25.6mm-36.1mm in a 30.5mm-42.5mm external package.
Size 2BW (Newly designed) - The active area of the size 2BW sensor is 27.5mm-36.1mm in a 32.5mm-42.5mm package. This sensor is primarily used for bitewings.
