Working on a SQL database, DENTRIX Image works faster and more efficiently than ever. Automatically attach images to your patients file, you can make changes to the captured images, and toggle between the original and new image. An intuitive dialog box allows you to identify tooth number(s), date, time, image type, title, and free-form notes. The toolbar buttons allow you to easily annotate images with text, arrows, and circles-all in a variety of customizable colors. In addition, images can be rotated, magnified, or flipped horizontally and vertically. You can adjust the hue and saturation levels of the images to improve the presentation quality. In regulation with the FDA, whenever an image is enhanced, the new version can be saved as a separate file, leaving the original image unchanged.
DICOM Compliancy
DENTRIX Image makes digital images more transferable, or DICOM compliant. The Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) standard was created by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association with the objective to develop a set of protocols that enable a piece of equipment or software produced by one manufacturer to communicate with software or equipment produced by another. The end result is you can easily share images with a specialist regardless of what imaging software system the specialist uses (as long as their software is DICOM compliant).
