2013 Dentrix Business of Dentistry Conference a Great Success

Business of Dentistry Conference

We’d like to extend a huge “Thank you!” to everyone who joined us at the 2013 Dentrix Business of Dentistry Conference, held on August 8-10 at the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. More than 1,200 dental professionals took advantage of this exciting opportunity to increase their Dentrix knowledge, enhance their practice’s value and boost their success in today’s fast-paced digital world.

With more than 70 educational sessions, the conference offered valuable job insight to the entire practice team, from office manager to hygienist to dentist. Guests received practical Dentrix training, gained new perspectives to make their practices more profitable, interacted with an impressive group of experts and networked with peers from around the nation.

Every year the conference gets bigger and better, and this year was no exception. The event kicked off on Thursday night with an array of cirque-style performers, dinner and dancing. All the performers were amazing and fun to watch.

Friday morning’s keynote address, given by bestselling author and inspirational speaker Steve Gilliland, revved the group up for a great day. Steve reminded us that true success and fulfillment requires an enthusiasm for one’s work and personal life. He said that "it is not what it is; it is what you make it."

Following the keynote, attendees broke off into smaller sessions to learn more about a hefty selection of important topics, including:

  • Practice marketing
  • Patient engagement
  • Clinical skills
  • Billing and collections
  • Insurance management
  • Reporting
  • Practice management and profitability

Attendees also had the chance (for the first time this year!) to see a live CAD/CAM demonstration at LVI, the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.

The conference wrapped on Saturday after another full day of education, good food and lots of prizes, including one winner who won $205 dollars in the eServices money machine. It’s not too early to start planning your attendance at next year’s conference. We’re confident that our 2014 event will be another great opportunity for valuable learning and fun.
