Step 2 - Pass the certification exam with a score of 90% or higher
Step 3 - Participate in a phone interview
Step 4 - Attend a certification seminar at our corporate office in American Fork, UT
Step 5 - Follow a New Trainer Mentoring Program customized specifically for you
*You must have a minimum of 2 years dental office experience using Dentrix G2 or higher to become a Dentrix Certified Trainer.
The first step of becoming a Dentrix Certified Trainer (DCT) is to complete the online survey. The survey is designed to assess your experience and readiness to become a DCT.
If you meet the required qualifications determined through the survey, you will be invited to take the certification test which must be passed with a score of 90% or higher. We will mail you a lockdown copy of the Dentrix software.
Upon completion of the certification exam, you will be contacted by a Field Training Manager to schedule and conduct a phone interview.
Once you pass the test and have successfully completed the phone interview, we will invite you to attend the certification seminar. By attending the certification seminar, you will incur a charge of $225.00.
NOTE: We strongly discourage you from making any travel arrangements (including purchasing airfare) until after you have passed the certification test and completed the phone interview. Henry Schein Practice Solutions will not reimburse you for any travel expenses if for any reason, you are not invited to attend the certification seminar.
The seminar will focus on teaching you how to be an effective trainer, explaining policies and procedures a Certified Trainer should follow when training offices, sharing important dos and don'ts, and sharing recommended training practices. During the seminar, you will be given opportunities to demonstrate your training skills. You will also have an opportunity to meet with the corporate team member in charge of scheduling trainings in your region.
Upon successful completion of the seminar and before you are offered any training opportunities, we require that you follow a customized plan tailored specifically for you which may include shadowing an experienced trainer, shadowing a workshop, phone coaching / mentoring, and/or attending a local tradeshow to see how training sessions work and to help you be more prepared when you go into an office on your own. In office shadowing hours are paid at a reduced rate.
