  Dentrix G5 Productivity Pack 1
Note: You must install G5 Hotfix 2 before installing Dentrix G5 Productivity Pack 1
Dentrix G5 Productivity Pack 1 is available for download. Henry Schein Practice Solutions is controlling the release of this productivity pack to ensure that sufficient customer service is available to assist any customers who may want help with the update. To achieve this we are restricting download availability to certain times and days. For that reason it may not be available when you try to start the download.

By moving to Dentrix G5 Productivity Pack 1 you will have access to the latest improvements and features including:

  • ePrescribe—Create electronic prescriptions and send them to a patient’s pharmacy.
  • Dentrix Update Manager—Streamlines the way you receive updates to your Dentrix products and add-on features.
  • ADA CDT Dental Codes—New codes for 2011/2012 and 2013.
  • HIPAA 5010—New fields added to support HIPAA 5010 requirements.
  • Electronic explanation of benefits enhancements.
  • New claim form for ADA dental diagnostic codes.
  • Improved security control for Dentrix database access.

These new features will enhance the functionality and the security of your Dentrix system, including increased protections relating to a recently identified security issue associated with the system’s credential protocols.

Customers who are on G5 will be notified through the Dentrix Update Manager when Productivity Pack 1 is available. To enhance Dentrix security as described above, this will be a mandatory patch, which we are urging all Dentrix G5 customers to install. See the Release Guide or contact Customer Support at (800) 336-8749 for additional information.

  Dentrix Windows 8 Compatibility
Windows 8 is supported on Dentrix beginning with Dentrix G5 Productivity Pack 1 Hotfix 2. However, we do not recommend installing Dentrix on computers running Windows 8 or upgrading to Windows 8 if those computers are using PowerPay, PowerPay LE or features from other eServices that rely on eSync or eSync plug ins. We will announce the release of compatible versions of these products as they become available. The eServices Support team is available to answer questions specific to the eServices used by your office. If you are using any third-party applications with Dentrix, we recommend that you verify that all of your third-party software is compatible with Windows 8 before upgrading to Windows 8.
